Marshall Artist: The AW18 Launch

The months have flown by and it’s that time of year again.

For many of us, it’s time to begin making that transition out of our summer wardrobe and face the harsh facts that Autumn/Fall is here.

I’m a big fan of winter and the ability to incorporate more layering into your outfits, but we’re not quite just there yet. The Autumn allows us to preview and experiment with styles and outwear before the inevitable baltic temperatures hit us and we’re forced to wrap up within an inch of our lives. We have all that to look forward to but for now, let’s focus on the present.

As always this time of year marks the start of new lines of attire from our favourite brands and fashion houses, although many of last seasons jackets will still get good wear it’s also a nice chance to add a new jacket to your collection.

By getting some new pieces of clothing it can really reignite the confidence from within that you may have been lacking recently and I’ve found one from a brand that may have slipped from your attention over recent years, but is set to make a lot of noise with an exceptional  AW18 collection that is sure to make the brand a topic of many conversations.

Born in the East of London in 2001, Marshall Artist quickly rose to the top as one of the UK’s standout casual menswear brands. Over the years Marshall gained a whole host of admirers for its mix of traditional tailoring and designs fused with modern trends and styles.

With the aim of creating modern tailoring for modern people, Marshall produced contemporary, casual clothing that is is not only highly wearable but also showcases British eccentricity. Quickly moving around the world to a bigger audience Marshall Artist gained fans in the likes of Jude Law, David Beckham and the Gallagher brothers.

Let’s face it so much has changed over 18 years, fashions fade and come and go. With so many brands constantly emerging through social media and constantly being on your radar, some fall back and unfortunately get overlooked.

The one thing about quality is that is sticks and will always shine through, over the last few seasons Marshall has begun to shine again and gained a brand new audience that is becoming aware of what the brand has to offer.

When I was kindly invited by the good guys over at Marshall to their AW18 launch I grabbed the chance with both hands. It’s always nice to see brands host launches here in Manchester.

Held in The Refuge, the bar of The Principle Hotel (Formely The Palace Hotel) Marshall, featuring appearances from DJ’s Mark Hogg, Justin Robertson & James Walsh, Marshall introduced guests to its top quality, styling and individualistic designs.

Staying ahead of the crowd and offering excellent clothing at competitive prices, they are not only a brand to believe in but one that should be respected.

With a fresh season comes is a blend of outdoor clothing and outerwear with a traditional classic and casual approach that all comes together to form a range including jumpers, tees, overcoats, overshirts and many more.

You can tell Marshall Artist is an innovative brand with it’s attention to detail, doing that little extra by giving their clothes the ‘modern tailoring’ approach. The fit is exceptional and really caught me by surprise.

With the opportunity to choose something I opted for this Field Jacket, a huge fan of the style. Perfect for the drop in temperature and smart evening occasions, simple worn over a casual shirt or tee this jacket is smart and diverse, not to forget showerproof for the temperamental Manc weather.
